With temperatures steadily rising, it’s safe to say that summer is in full swing here in Georgia. At the World of Coca-Cola, this alone is something to celebrate. In May, to kick off the season, the Atlanta attraction debuted a new short film, Howard Finster exhibit, mobile app and seventh anniversary ticket offer. On Saturday, May 24, the first 700 guests to purchase tickets paid only $7, receiving a generous 56% percent discount.
Though the offer was valid for one day only, if you’ve yet to enjoy the movie, app or gallery for yourself, The World of Coca-Cola is excited to report that there’s still plenty of time to do so. Visitors are invited to stop on by and learn more about the history of the world’s most famous soft drink.
“Moments of Happiness” Short Film: Offering a six-minute glimpse into some of life’s most memorable moments as recounted by people of different ages and cultures from around the world, the new film in the Coca-Cola Theatre will certainly warm your heart. While the film is only available for the viewing at the World of Coca-Cola, you can check out the trailer at http://CokeURL.com/MomentsofHappiness.
World of Coca-Cola Explorer Mobile App: Thanks to the introduction of a new mobile app, guests can experience the World of Coca-Cola like never before. Functioning as a personal VIP tour guide, the app uses location-sensing technology to let guests discover interesting facts about Coca-Cola®, create customs photos of themselves and their friends, keep a journal of their favorite flavors in the Tast It! beverage lounge, connect instantly on social media and follow the World of Coca-Cola guide map as they tour the facility. Guests can check in automatically when they arrive by enabling Bluetooth on their iPhones. Many unlocked app features can be enjoyed long after one’s visit.
Howard Finster: Visions of Coca-Cola Gallery: The Pop Culture gallery will now feature works from Howard Finster, a self-taught folk artist from Georgia. Besides being a master of his craft, Finster also served as a Baptist minister. He loved Coca-Cola and often incorporated the iconic bottle shape into his artwork. This new exhibit will also highlight items from the Thomas E. Scalin Collections, including a 13-foot-tall Coke bottle “big enough for man to stand in” and an 8-foot-tall original folk art bottle, which Finster created for the 1996 Olympic Games. Tools from Finster’s studio that became works of art themselves will also be included and available for viewing.
