In order to continue to do so, it became clear that the development of a strong purchasing department was essential to support the company’s future growth. To that end, company co-founder and CFO Thomas Olson recently brought on Will Mongesku as Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ new director of purchasing.
Mongesku brings a wealth of experience in the homebuilding industry to the Acadia team. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, he began his career as a project engineering manager with Jordan Engineering Group in Phoenix, Az. where he was responsible for the structural design and value engineering of single- and multi-family residential homes. His path eventually led him to Atlanta where he joined Ashton Woods Homes as corporate structural engineer and purchasing agent for their Atlanta division. When he learned of the quest for a director of purchasing at Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, he saw it as a terrific opportunity to make the leap into a department and company he admired.
