U.S.
News and World Report’s annual best hospitals list has been published, and
several Atlanta hospitals made the cut. The rankings are categorized in 16 specialties
including cancer, cardiology, diabetes, ophthalmology and more.
Children’s
Healthcare of Atlanta ranked nationally in 10 pediatric specialties including
cardiology and heart surgery, urology and orthopedics.
Piedmont
Hospital ranked high-performing in 10 specialties, including cancer,
pulmonology and diabetes and endocrinology.
Emory
University Hospital ranked nationally in five specialties including psychiatry,
neurology and cancer. It was also high-performing in nine specialties including
diabetes, ear, nose and throat and gynecology.
Northside
Hospital ranked high-performing in two categories, cancer and gynecology.
St.
Joseph’s Hospital ranked high-performing in two specialties, gastroenterology
and GI surgery and geriatrics.
Shepherd
Center ranked nationally in one specialty, rehabilitation.
