As
reported by Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Coca Cola Co. is launching an
Atlanta IT center that will produce almost 2,000 jobs in downtown.
Coca-Cola
will put its Information Technology Center of Excellence at SunTrust Plaza’s
Garden Offices. The six-story Garden Offices were completed in 2000 and include
wide-open floor plans and lots of natural light to benefit high-tech workers.
By
the middle of next year, the IT center plans to bring together nearly 2,000 of
its Atlanta-based technology associates and contractors in one central location
to further improve operation efficiency.
The
company has entered into the lease for the next 10 years, expanding its already
significant presence there. With the move, the company will employ more than
6,500 people downtown.
