The WSB Care-a-Thon is in its 15th year.
The radiothon that raises money for research and programs at
the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of
Atlanta is being held on July 20 at 5:00 a.m. until July 21 at 6:00 p.m. on
News 95.5 and AM 750 WSB. The program will feature well-known on-air
personalities, special guests and inspiring interviews with patients at the
Aflac Cancer Center. People that listen will also be able to give donations and
buy one-of-a-kind experiences throughout the two-day event.
The hosts for the program are Clark Howard, Neal Boortz,
Herman Cain, Dave Baker, Scott Slade, Erick Erickson, Eric Von Haessler, Jamie
Dupree, Walter Reeves, Belinda Skelton, Mark Arum and Sean Hannity. Special
guests for the event include John Smoltz and Freddie Freeman from the Atlanta
Braves, Ernie Johnson from Turner Sports, Dan and Kathelen Amos from Aflac and
Aflac Foundation and Matt Ryan from the Atlanta Falcons. Last year’s WSB
Care-a-Thon raised over $1.6 million for the Aflac Cancer Center.
Local families from the following areas will be featured in
the WSB Care-a-Thon: Acworth, Alpharetta, Atlanta, Cartersville, Columbus,
Dallas, Eatonton, Flowery Branch, Hiram, Kennesaw, Marietta, Peachtree City,
Roswell, Smyrna, Snellville, Stone Mountain, Suwannee and Woodstock.
