Live Nation and the Atlanta Braves are teaming up and developing and operating a 53,000 square-foot
entertainment venue. The new varied-use community will be adjacent to the
SunTrust Park and bear the iconic name - The Roxy Theatre.
The Braves continue to satisfy their fans by delivering
outstanding sports and entertainment. This new iconic theatre will have space
for only 4,000 people and will feature 40 music or comedy shows a year that
will be held mostly on game days. During the year, the venue will be used for
both private and special events.
Live Nation will be the overseer and will operate and book
the space as well as the ticketing and promotion for the concerts and special
events. This way, the venue can be active constantly and can provide entertainment
for fans year-round.
The Theatre will be located at the north end of the plaza
right outside the gates of SunTrust Park. The purpose of the plaza is to help visitors
get from the surrounding development and into the ballpark. It will serve as an
additional entertainment venue for the events during the year.
At the south end of the plaza, the Omni Atlanta Hotel at
SunTrust Park will be located, and it will feature approximately 260 finely
selected guest rooms and suites in addition to a nine-story office that
features more than 1,000 Comcast employees.
A host of dining options such as chef-driven cuisine, a
brewpub and additional fast casual options will surround the plaza.
