Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Suwanne

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is coming to life!

The well-known musical fantasy is going to introduce new generations to this exciting world. This production will feature a mostly high school cast that’s based on the 1968 film at the Suwanee Town Center stage July 24 and 25. The performances start at 7 p.m. on both nights.

But, it doesn’t just stop with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. In addition to that performance, a middle school cast will be performing The Finish Line. It’s an original musical that is written by Suwanee Performing Arts’ Patty and Elise Etherton and Bernie Davis. The story features an adolescent girl that loves racing more than anything else. It ends at 1910 Grand Prix, and that’s where Chitty Chitty Bang Bang begins.

The stories are fun for all ages. From 8-85, everyone is going to love it!

The show features characters like the Baron and Baroness Bomburst, Vulgarian spies, Child Catcher, Truly Scrumptious and songs that you won’t forget!

Different people will be performing amongst the two shows: about 125 high school, middle school, adult and child actors. In addition to these people, a live orchestra will be featured, the Broad Street Concert Band at Sugar Hill.

The performances will continue rain-or-shine and usually draw approximately 4,000 people. They are free and open to the public, but the best seating is reserved for corporate sponsors ($500 per six-person tables) and patrons ($250 per table). If you want reserved seating or “sitting-room only” seating, it’s reserved for families with small children ($10 each), and you can contact Suwanee Performing Arts at info@suwaneeperforms.com or 678-482-6333.
