Midtown’s Atlantic Station is now becoming Sage Group PLC’s
North American headquarters, creating at least 400 jobs.
This extension will take up 78,000 square feet and will sit
at 271 17th St. in addition to the offices in Lawrenceville,
Georgia. The new location will serve as a Customer Business Center and will be
one of two specific centers globally.
Focusing on the marketing and product development of Sage
Life, this center will also be open to entrepreneurs that are building
accounting software or tending to the small-and-medium business market.
Sage Group PLC isn’t the only business that’s making a move
to Midtown. NCR Corporation also announced that it will be relocating its
headquarters to Midtown, creating 3,000 jobs. The location is also convenient because it’s close
to Georgia Tech, an engineering powerhouse that deals out much of the city’s
next-generation tech research and workforce. The closeness to the university
has brought in several tech companies such as Pandora, Uber and Square.
Atlantic Station’s environment centers around live-work-play
and technology. This is very appealing to Millennials, and companies are
attracted to industry groups for the wealthy and talented market and the
possibility of opportune interactions that create ideas and partnerships.
