Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is getting an
upgrade.
As the home base of Delta Airlines with an average of 8.1
outlets per gate, it’s pretty impressive already.
The renovations of the well-known airport will include a new
atrium that looks more like a mall than anything else and a new lobby with natural
light seeping through its many windows.
The gates will even get additional seating areas to accommodate
its many occupants. The idea is to make the area seem more relaxing rather than
a common airport waiting area. Higher up in the airport, a canopy will be present
to block travelers from the harsh sun but to also allow some light to touch the
outside of the building.
There’s also something coming that travelers won’t even
realize they needed. Right after the TSA checkpoint, there will be an area that
gives people time and room to recompose themselves after having to go through
screening.
