The Fox Theatre recently made an announcement revealing their
new Behind the Scenes Tours. The tour is a 90-minute guided program that gives
guests the chance to experience the soul and wonder that is The Fox Theatre.
What’s the best thing? It’s done from three
different perspectives!
The first stop on this theatre tour allows patrons to see
the effort that goes into every performance. They get a look at backstage,
underneath the stage and places you wouldn’t even expect such as the power rooms!
This perspective is done to give the unseen workers that work so hard on
performances their moment to shine.
The second exciting stop expands on the history of the
theatre. While walking, guests get the privilege of listening to the fascinating
stories of how Atlanta came together to save the Fox 40 years ago! They can visit
never-before-seen restoration workrooms and picture the Fox in 1929.
The third and final stop on this journey lets guests in on
something not many people get to experience. They get to grace the same
hallways and dressing rooms as legends such as the Rolling Stones and Elvis. In addition to that, this leg of the tour presents the guests with a timeline of the Fox Theatre painted on the stairs with the
tour ending on Fox’s legendary stage.
If that’s not incentive enough, this little fact should be:
This will be the very first time that
the public will have access to these exclusive areas of the theater.
