Each May, fundraising at Choate Construction runs full
throttle as employees roll up their sleeves and work tirelessly in their
efforts for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundations’ Great Strides event in May. In Choate’s Atlanta office, Cars & ‘Q for the Cause on Saturday, May 30,
is just one of many custom “fun”raisers created by Choate employees to support
the CF Foundation.

Over 400 participants join Choate for the company’s annual
car show and BBQ featuring 70 classic, muscle, exotic cars and bikes. The event has something for everyone including
dinner, beer and wine, live music and a raffle, and has tremendous support from a variety of
groups including the real estate community, the car community, young
professionals and the CF community. In
its 6th year, it raises over $20,000 of the company’s annual
$130,000-plus raised contributions to the CF Foundation.
The car show grew out of CEO Millard Choate’s lifelong
passion for collectible cars. And since
car obsessions start young, his daughter Emily, now marketing director for
Choate Construction, shares her Dads’ enthusiasm and organizes the event. “Choate has a lot of employees with car-guy
credentials. Combine that with our
strong backbone for community service, and an annual car show for CF just made
sense.” said Ms. Choate-Bridges.
Tickets in advance are $15 for event entry and dinner and
$30 for entry, dinner and access to the bar (legal age permitting). Tickets rise to $20 and $40 at the door. 8200 Roberts Drive, Atlanta, GA. Parking is free. Visit choateco.com/cars-q-for-the-cause-2015
