The LaSalle Group, a national leader in memory care, is about to open its third Autumn Leaves community in the Atlanta metro area - Autumn Leaves of Stockbridge (100 Monarch Village Way, Stockbridge, GA 30281). The 26,000 square foot memory care community will bring 45 jobs to the area and provide expert, specialized care for nearly 50 residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory impairment. The community was designed based on the latest Alzheimer’s research and includes high-tech equipment to help keep the residents safe. The community will also provide free services for families in the area including educational seminars, speakers, and Alzheimer’s support groups. Respite care is also available.
There is a huge need for this type of specialized care as 130,000 people in Georgia over 65 years old have Alzheimer’s – or 1 in every 11 seniors in the state – and that number is expected to increase dramatically as baby boomers grow older.
