Unleash Your Inner Superhero at the Atlanta Super Run, To Be Held Oct. 12

There is a superhero inside of all of us. Sometimes we just need the courage to put on the cape. The Super Run, a new nationwide fun run, is asking runners to do just that: to don costumes, throw on masks and of course, channel their superpowers.

A nationwide series of events, the Super Run partners with non-profit organizations at the local level in each host city to organize superhero-themed events for charity. Launched in Detroit during the spring, the Super Run will have moved through almost two dozen cities by the end of the year, raising funds and awareness for a handful of important causes.

This fall, the Super Run is scheduled to make a stop in Atlanta. Unleash your inner Superman or Wonder Woman on Oct. 12 at Brook Run River Park in Dunwoody. Superheroes of all kinds and ages are encouraged to take to the track at this fun, high-energy event.

Featuring both a 1k and a 5k, the fun run provides runners with capes instead of the typical race T-shirt. Proceeds from the race will benefit local and national partner charities, including Savvy Cyber Kids, American Association for Cancer Research, and Children's Hospitals National Foundation.
