Try Out a New Atlanta Restaurant This Summer

The city is bursting with dreamers and idea-generators—and they certainly aren't keeping their visions to themselves. This summer, food- and drink-lovers will introduce their new restaurants, distilleries and bars. Don't miss out on all of the new, exciting food ventures this summer.

Krog Street Market
99 Krog Street

Opening late summer, the market will feature local restaurants like Gu's Dumplings, The Little Tart Bakeshop and Superica. Its design as a 1920s warehouse and its intent to offer a gathering for Atlantans looking for local eats is sure to draw many people.

The Pig and the Pearl
1380 Atlantic Drive Suite 14180

The newest addition to Atlantic Station (aside from Diner), this BBQ joint is currently hiring staff and will be opening very soon. The new smokehouse will be run by Todd Martin, Cindy Shera, and chef Todd Richards of The Shed at Glenwood.

Diner
261 19th Street

Traditional diner restaurant Diner plans to open at the end of June or July by Morningside chef Ron Eyester. His mission for the spot? “My goal is to establish another entity that is a solid part of the community—a central hub where people want to hang out.”

Elmyriachi
1950 Hosea L Williams Drive

A new sister restaurant to Elmyr with a giant patio and delicious cheese dip—what more could you ask for? The restaurant opened in May and will be showing the World Cup on the patio featuring specials throughout.

Old 4th Distillery
487 Edgewood Avenue

Both the distillery itself—and the website—are works in progress, but Old 4th is meant to open soon as what will be Atlanta's first vodka distillery since 1906. Owner Jeff Moore and his team are excited to introduce this new endeavor and keep anxious liquor lovers in the loop with progress on their Facebook page. Look for bottles of Old 4th Distillery vodka in local bars, since that is the only place it can be legally sold.
