For the past four years, Atlanta has been home to one of the
most respected charity events in the nation. This June, the city will once
again take a stand against cancer, as it holds the Fifth Annual Hat-titude Big
Hat Brunch. Hosted by HGTV’s Egypt Sherrod and 11Alive’s Demarco Morgan, this
year’s “must see/must do” event will take place at the exclusive Summerour
Studio from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m on Sunday, June 8.
In celebration of five years of service, the event will
feature a yellow carpet, a full brunch buffet from Bridge Catering, a vendor
fair, an “Ask the Doctors” panel discussion, a two-line parade and the
presentation of the esteemed Care-Giver Award. Guests will also enjoy live
music from Elevate the Quest featuring Eric Thomas, musical styling from the
Versatile DJ FaDelf and an inspiring performance by Stellar Award winning
Gospel artist, Isaac Carree.
The attire is set as an all-white “Day in the Hamptons”
affair, though attendees are also encouraged to don different colored hats to
represent the various forms of cancer. This dress code is intended to create a stylishly
uniformed appearance among the guests, thereby drawing attention to the heart and
solidarity behind the effort.
According to Hat-titude founder Jerika Head, the mission of
this event is to help men and women join together in the fight against cancer. In
2010, Head endured the loss of her own mother who bravely battled bladder
cancer and created Hat-titude in her honor. A highly anticipated multicultural event, Hat-titude now attracts many people whose lives and families have
also been touched by cancer.
Tickets
for Hat-titude can be purchased online at www.Hat-titude.com
and require a minimum donation of $50. Larger donations are accepted and can
also be made before, or on the day of the event. Portions of the proceeds will
benefit the American Cancer Society and other deserving charities.
