Seven Hills to Sponsor Special Olympics Charity Event Weekend

Seven Hills, a home community in Paulding County, will sponsor the first annual Charity Event Weekend for The Special Olympics May 15-17.

All proceeds for the event, which will include a corn hole tournament, a 5K/10K and a tennis tournament, will go to The Special Olympics Georgia.

The Special Olympics Georgia provides year-round sports training competition in Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Athletes share gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community. The Special Olympics bring persons with intellectual disabilities into the larger society under conditions whereby they are accepted and respected.

The Charity Event Weekend will give participants an opportunity to view a Seven Hills Community model home while supporting The Special Olympics. Aside from its world-class amenities, the community offers its own tennis pro and an Activities Director, who schedules many events to bring neighbors in the community together.
