Sun City Peachtree was recently named one of the top 50 best places to retire in the country. Where to Retire magazine announced their list of the best master planned communities in their July/August issue, and Del Webb has five communities on the list (which is more than any other active adult builder in the country), including Sun City Peachtree in Griffin.
“The Short List: 50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the United States” is the only list of its kind, focusing on individual communities rather than locales. Winners came from 17 states, and the communities won their place on the list by having new amenities, expansive open space, a great balance between working and living and a focus on green living.
Amenities at the Sun City Peachtree community include a private Canongate 18-hole golf course, 45,000-square-foot amenity center with an indoor walking track, a tennis complex with clay courts and a sports director, indoor and outdoor pools, a dog park and walking trails all in a gated and guarded community. In addition to all of the amazing amenities, Sun City has more than 30 clubs and interest groups for residents.
