Kids Camp “SummerU” ongoing at KSU

Scrappy the Owl, Kennesaw State University's mascot, greets Colin and Carly Major, children of Canton residents Jim and Beth Major, on the first day of Summer University. KSU Center, 3333 Busbee Drive, is transformed into Summer University in June and July. The program is hosted by KSU's College of Continuing and Professional Education. Activities and classes at "SummerU" include the new Teen Leadership Academy, Junior Chefs Academy, Extreme Science and Adventures in Architecture. SummerU began June 3 and ends July 26. Weekly sessions are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m., and extended care is available through 6 p.m. Instructors and assistants are all CPR-trained.
