One
of the most famous works in art history is making its home in Atlanta for the
summer. “Girl with a Pearl Earring” by Johannes Vermeer is displaying at
the High Museum of Art from June 23 —Sept. 29.
Even
if you know nothing about art history, you’ve likely seen the classic masterpiece
on T-shirts and tote bags. It also inspired a best-selling novel and
Oscar-winning film, along with countless artists over the years.
This
marks the first visit to the Southeast for the iconic painting. To learn more,
