Fun For Kids at Phipps Plaza

Phipps Plaza has a new attraction to keep the kids occupied—The Pink Pastry Parlor. An ideal birthday party location, the Pink Pastry Parlor has a Stay N Play option, which allows parents to drop their children off while they shop, dine or take in a movie at Phipps Plaza. Kids can participate in one of the hourly craft or baking classes and then head to the Game Room, which features The Pink Library, Fitness Center, Doll House City, Boy’s Club, Wii World and more. Craft classes are typically offered throughout the week, while baking classes take place on the weekends. Classes are open to the public and include lessons such as cupcake decorating, apron making, tiara designing and more. Additionally, Pink Pastry Parlor serves as an upscale bakery offering homemade cupcakes, brownies and cookies daily.

Pink Pastry has perfected the recipe not just for mouthwatering cupcakes, but also for its legendary parties for girls of all ages. These customizable parties allow parents to make their child’s party unique and fun, while leaving all of the planning and details to the experienced staff. Parties involve a circuit rotation between different rooms filled with fun, pampering and sass. The circuit begins in the Pink Pillow Fight Room, where girls get to jump on the beds and wage an all-out pillow war; it then moves on to the Spa Room, where each child receives a manicure, pedicure and hair and makeup session; next the party heads to the Runway Room, filled with costumes, a catwalk and pumping music; and it culminates in the Tea and Cupcakes Room, where the girls partake in etiquette lessons and an elegant tea party. Keeping in line with Pink Pastry Parlor’s mission of fostering female empowerment, many employees are high school-aged girls – the Parlettes – who serve as role models for the younger party-goers. Check out these amazing pictures here!
