The esteemed exhibit, “Fast Forward: Modern Moments 1913 to 2013,” arrives October 13 to Atlanta's High Museum of Art. It will be the fifth exhibit done in conjunction with the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

"Fast Forward" presets 164 works of art from 105 artists and, according to the High's director Michael Shapiro, “is extraordinarily varied and diverse” and “is much more life-like. It’s varied. It’s not tidy. There are lots of ideas in lots of directions in lots of art.”

The works, created over a span of 100 years, are broken down to highlight six pieces of time in art history: 1913, 1929, 1950, 1961, 1988 and today. Just a few of the artists you'll see include Umberto Boccioni, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Jackson Pollock, and Willem de Kooning.
“Fast Forward” runs through January 20, 2013, so make sure you plan a day to bring your family and friends on a fast-forward journey through art history.
