The Home Depot Foundation presented their 22nd annual Hands on Atlanta Day on October 6, where more than 7,000 individuals turned out to help better their community.

This year’s theme, “Love Your Block, Love Your Neighbor, Love Your School,” featured projects that focused on the environment, economic recovery and education. City of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed also came out to lend a helping hand.

"Love Your Block projects are resident-driven projects focused on beautifying Atlanta’s neighborhoods and green spaces. Love Your Neighbor volunteer activities serve the hunger, housing and education needs of seniors, low-income families, veterans and the homeless. Love Your School volunteer activities included tutoring sessions and school-based learning opportunities as well as school beautification projects."
