Georgia Named Among Best States for Business

CNBC just announced America’s Top States for Business 2011 and Georgia is one of the leaders of the pack. Listed this year at 4th, this is up from 10th in 2010. Georgia has been a great place to do business for years, and the job growth resulting from business growth is why the Atlanta real estate market was hot for so many years!

Georgia scored a 1,513 out of 2,500 points in CNBC’s study, which considers a variety of factors that measure competitiveness. The National Association of Manufacturers and the Council on Competitiveness gave input to the study.

The 10 categories ranked in CNBC’s study and Georgia’s scores are:

Georgia ranked highest for infrastructure and transportation. Quality of life in Georgia fell on the low end of the spectrum in the study.
